Our Mission
To promote for the benefit of our community, the advancement of education, the protection of health and the relief of poverty. In particular; this will take place in the ward of Woodside and the surrounding areas of South Telford by all or any of the following means:
- The relief of unemployment
- Education, personal development including training or retraining
- Providing employment and voluntary work experience and the provision and management of facilities for this purpose
- The provision of financial, technical or business assistance and advice or consultancy in order to provide opportunities for people to set up their own business
- The creation of training and employment opportunities by the provision and management of workspace, building facilities including for use on favourable terms
- The maintenance and improvement of provision and management of public amenities
- The provision and management of recreational facilities for the public at large or those who by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disablement, poverty or social and economic circumstances have need of such facilities
- The maintenance, improvement, provision and management of public health and childcare facilities
- The signposting of those in crisis to effective, appropriate support, particularly where mental health support is required. (And in particular, where mental health services are required)
- To encourage providers of mental health services to utilise PLC in the delivery and development of support for the benefit of service users and carers in South Telford.
